Returns & Refunds Policy
We want you to be happy with your purchase. However, if you change your mind or there is a problem with your order, please read the information below to understand your rights and our procedures.
Right to Cancel (Change of Mind)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving your goods. You then have another 14 days to return the goods to us.
To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing within 14 days of receiving your order by contacting:

Returned items must be unused, in a resaleable condition and in their original packaging.
Please return items using a tracked postal service and keep proof of postage. Return costs are your responsibility unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong item.
Please note: We reserve the right to deduct from your refund any loss in value resulting from unnecessary handling.
Items Exempt from Cancellation
You cannot cancel or return:

Personalised or made-to-order items unless faulty.

Items used, damaged, or not in their original packaging.
-
Perishable or hygiene-sensitive products once unsealed.
Returns Process

Email us first at hey@learningbugs.co.uk with your order number and reason for return.

Post the item back within 14 days of notifying us.

Include your name, order number, and contact details inside the parcel.

Use Royal Mail Tracked 48 or equivalent – we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit.

Refunds
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 14 days of:

Receiving the returned goods; or
-
Receiving proof of return; or
-
Cancellation notice, if no goods were delivered.
If you received free shipping, we reserve the right to deduct actual postage costs (£4.95–£6.50) from your refund if returning due to change of mind. A restocking fee of up to 50% may apply for used, damaged or incomplete returns.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives damaged or faulty, you must notify us within 14 days of receipt. Email photos of the damage and the packaging to hey@learningbugs.co.uk the same day.
We will offer a replacement, refund, or partial refund depending on the issue. We will also reimburse your return postage cost up to £4.99 if the item is confirmed faulty or incorrect.
Missed or Failed Deliveries
If delivery fails and is returned to us due to:

Not collecting from your local depot or pick-up point

Not responding to delivery attempts
…a £15 failed delivery fee will be deducted from your refund. If resending is requested, the postage will be charged again.
For orders returned after 3 failed delivery attempts, we are not liable for delivery costs or delays caused by courier arrangements.
Other Important Notes

Some items may arrive in supplier packaging (showing branding). Let us know if you need plain packaging for gifts.

Our toys made from soft wood or hand-painted materials may develop light marks or minor wear during normal use. These are not considered faults.

Some parcels may be protected with duct tape or recycled boxes. This does not mean the item is second-hand or damaged.

Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen or device – this is not a fault.
