Delivery Policy
At Learning Bugs, we aim to dispatch your order quickly, reliably and with care. Below you’ll find full details of our UK delivery options and terms.
UK Shipping Only
We currently ship within the UK only, either from our central warehouse or directly from our trusted brand partners.
Delivery Options & Pricing
Express Delivery (1-2 Days Working Days)
£7.99
Orders must be placed by 2pm Monday–Friday
Delivered via DHL or Royal Mail
Standard Delivery (3-5 Working Days)
£4.99
Delivered via Royal Mail Tracked or a similar service
Free Standard Delivery
Orders over £50 qualify for free delivery
Excludes hard-to-reach postcodes, offshore GB islands and certain bulky items
Order Cut-Off Time
Orders placed before 2pm (Monday–Friday) will be processed the same day.
Orders placed after 2pm, or on weekends/bank holidays, will be processed the next working day.
Friday Express orders may arrive the following Monday.
Stock Availability & Dispatch
Over 80% of items are dispatched directly from our warehouse.
Items marked as shipped directly from brand or made-to-order may take 2–5 working days to arrive.
Personalised or bespoke items are dispatched by the brand once production is complete.
Delivery to Remote and Offshore Areas
Deliveries to offshore GB islands (including the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly), Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, and other hard-to-reach areas may take longer than stated and may not be eligible for Express Delivery or Free Shipping.
In some cases, additional shipping charges may apply — we’ll contact you before dispatch if this is the case.
Possible Delays
Although 99% of Express orders arrive next working day, delays may occur due to:

Courier network issues (Royal Mail/DHL)

Industrial action or weather disruption

Supplier delays or stock availability
Please allow up to 7 working days before contacting us regarding a delayed parcel.
Delivery Communication & Tracking
Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive tracking information via email or text.
DHL will provide a 1-hour time window for delivery.
You can use tracking links to reschedule, nominate a safe place, or arrange collection from a DHL or Royal Mail point.
We can only ship to the address provided at checkout. Once dispatched, address changes are not possible.
Missed / Failed Deliveries
If your parcel is returned to us due to:

Failure to rearrange a missed delivery

Non-collection from the delivery office or pickup point

Incorrect address entry
…a £15 return charge will be deducted from your refund to cover courier return fees and processing.
Lost Parcels
If your parcel hasn’t arrived within 7 working days, please notify us immediately.
Courier claims must be submitted within strict timeframes; delays in reporting may result in longer resolution times.
Packaging & Sustainability
We use recycled and reused packaging wherever possible to reduce environmental impact.
Large or fragile items may be protected with duct tape – this does not indicate the item is second-hand or a return.
Items may arrive in original supplier packaging showing the brand name.
All DHL shipping bags, packing paper and bubble wrap are recyclable.
Multiple Parcel Shipments
If your order includes items from different suppliers or large items, you may receive multiple parcels, which may arrive on different days.
Christmas & Holiday Delivery
Last Christmas Order Date: 20th December
(Delivery not guaranteed due to peak courier demand or industrial action)
Holiday Closure: 23rd December – 2nd January
Orders placed during this time will dispatch from 2nd January
